This landscape had a large front lawn which the homeowner wanted to put to better use – something that was functional, environmentally beneficial, and pretty, it was after all the first impression. The solution was an herb knot garden.
English knot gardens are traditionally formal gardens consisting of defined geometric shapes designed with boxwoods and contained within a square boxwood frame. This knot garden however had a ‘twist’.
