Testimonials

“My husband and I used Sweet Earth Co. for our wedding flowers. Xenia was great to work with and she was very amenable to all of our wants and needs as they changed throughout the wedding process, all while being mindful of our budget, which was incredibly important and appreciated. We choose her for her homegrown, local, and sustainable flower growing methods and design style. All of the flowers on the wedding day were beautiful, elegant and even better than we could have imagined. My husband, being a landscape designer himself was very pleased and impressed with all of Xenia’s hard work, attention to detail, and finished product!”

“Working with Xenia and Sweet Earth Co. was one of the highlights of my wedding. I knew I wanted flowers and greenery to completely transform my wedding venue, and Xenia knocked it out of the park, making sure every detail was exquisite.

Our initial planning meeting was collaborative, and Xenia was able to hear my vision and take it to new heights. Her knowledge of flowers and herbs is vast, and her work imbued with such creativity and love. Nothing was overstated, yet our clubhouse was transformed into the most magical, intimate setting for a wedding.

My husband and I were on a tight timeline (4.5 months from engagement to wedding!) and Xenia helped me stay calm when things got stressful. Her initial proposal to us was filled with ‘inspiration’ photos and beautiful descriptions of how the space would look on our big day. Xenia met us at our wedding venue multiple times for walk throughs, to get measurements, and to help us brainstorm and set up.

My guests are still talking about our wedding months later, and I attribute much of that to Xenia’s vision and beautiful work. I can’t recommend her and Sweet Earth Co. highly enough!!”

“My husband and I searched all over for a local farm and florist to do the decorations for our Hudson Valley wedding. We had a vision of colorful market flowers and greens and Xenia’s farm had everything we ever hoped for! I cannot stress what amazing of a job she did.

From start to finish her creativity and care shone through every detail. Everything was breathtaking! Easy to communicate and collaborate with, she is a true artist with a powerhouse of knowledge about all types of local flowers, fruits, and herbs.

Our venue coordinator raved about what a pleasure she was to work with, going out of her way to make sure every accent was perfect. Xenia made our dreams a reality and gave us the most stunning day imaginable. I cant recommend Sweet Earth Co. enough!”

I attended Xenia D’Ambrosi’s Sweet Earth Co.’s  ‘Planning a Cutting Garden Workshop’  at her wonderful local farm earlier this year.

The fabulous workshop prepared us to plan and create our own cutting garden with a step-by-step power point and discussion of each phase, with clear, simple advice and direction.

We gathered in Sweet Earths tranquil barn teaching space, and were provided with detailed printed materials and delicious tea made from Xenia’s own local farm flowers and herbs.
Xenia’s teaching style is inspirational, reassuring and fun. She encouraged us that anyone from a novice to a seasoned gardener will be able to learn the straightforward steps needed to achieve a lovely cutting garden of any size and variety.

Xenia articulated each phase of planning, preparing, planting and harvesting a garden in a concise and relatable manner. We learned soil health and digging techniques via short links on the power point, and spent time discussing and understanding each phase of the process in her reassuring manner. She shared her expertise by walking us through her farm property where she had prepared her flower beds, directing us to understand where the best sun and shade are, which flowers perform best in different areas, and enlightening us on how simple it is to germinate seeds on sunny window sills or in cold frames and greenhouses.  As we were educated on the process from planting seedlings through to harvesting, we saw the end result in images on her website and in her dried arrangements throughout the barn.

My own seedlings are now germinating on a sunny windowsill, and the thrill of nurturing these tiny seeds into beautiful cutting flowers for the season is a lesson I will return to year after year.....and then I will attend Sweet Earth’s workshops/webinars for more instruction on other gardening techniques!

“The flowers that we get from Xenia at Sweet Earth are so beautiful and her devotion to nature and sustainable practices are remarkable. It is pure joy to pick up a bouquet — not just beautiful but fragrant from a surprise herb that’s included and always seasonal like the natural cycle of the seasons.”

A very special "thank you!" for the beautiful floral centerpieces and plate posies you created for my sons rehearsal dinner at The Inn at Pound Ridge. The entire evening was amazing and your arrangements were perfect!
